Hungarian state decoration for Luxembourg researcher on the occasion of the centenary of bilateral diplomatic relations
On 5 December, H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács handed over the state decoration of the Knight's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit, awarded by the President of Hungary, Tamás Sulyok to Professor Jean-Marie Majerus, at our Embassy's Office in Luxembourg for his invaluable efforts to commemorate the centenary of diplomatic relations between Luxembourg and Hungary, researching and co-authoring the book written on our common history.
Hungarian hydrogen industry companies represented at the European Hydrogen Week
Eight Hungarian hydrogen industry companies represented themselves at the European Hydrogen Week exhibition, held between November 18 and 22, one of Europe’s most significant hydrogen events. The participants had an exceptional opportunity to showcase and present Hungary's innovative technological solutions to the international audience. H.E. Tamás Iván Kovács and the Foreign Trade Office of our Embassy personally visited the Hungarian stand.
Ambassadors' working lunch with Luxembourg Minister of Finanace
On 29 November, our Representation in Luxembourg organised the fifth EU Heads of Mission (EU HoMs) working lunch in Luxembourg. As a guest of honour, we were honoured to host Mr. Gilles Roth, the Minister of Finance of Luxembourg. Our Embassy was represented by H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács, Szabolcs Nemes, our Chargé d'Affaires in Luxembourg and Katalin Dusaucy-Rapp, diplomat.
Consular meeting at the Embassy
On 22 November, our Embassy hosted the Heads of Consulates of EU and EFTA Member State Embassies. During the event, the Belgian National Crisis Centre presented the Belgian crisis management system and the possibilities of cooperation with consulates. A representative of the Consular Directorate of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided information on the functioning of the Belgian consular network. The participants were addressed by H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács, who provided a progress report on the Hungarian Presidency program and the events at the Embassy.
Discussion with the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs
On 18 November, a public seminar discussion entitled "Shaping the Future of Europe: Hungary's Vision for the 2024 Presidency" was held at the House of Hungary in Brussels, organised by the Embassy of Hungary in Brussels and the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs. The event was opened by H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács. The panel consisted of Gladden Pappin, President of the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs, Frank Füredi, Executive Director of MCC Brussels and Cornelis J. Schilt, Professor of Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
