Reception commemorating the Revolution of 1956

On the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight, a reception was held for the Hungarian community living in Belgium. The compatriots of the 1956 Revolution were welcomed by H.E. Mr. Tamás Iván Kovács, Ambassador of Hungary to Belgium and his spouse, Dr. Edit Szepessy, H.E. Ms. Katalin Molnár on behalf of H.E. Mr. Bálint Ódor, Permanent Representative to the European Union, H.E. Mr. István Balogh, Permanent Representative on the North Atlantic Council and Mr. Kálló László, Defense, Military and Air Attaché.

Mass and commemoration on the occasion of the 1956 Revolution

On the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight, a commemoration mass took place in the Saint Michael and Saint Gudula Cathedral. The Hungarian community living in Belgium marched with candles to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács held a commemorative speech.
