Meeting with the Belgian Volleyball Federation
On 18 April, the Organizing Director of the Belgian Volleyball Federation, Geert De Dobbeleer, and David Steegen, Head of Communications and Media, visited the Hungarian Embassy in Brussels, where they had a meeting with H.E. Ambassador dr. Tamás Iván Kovács and Dorottya Bősze, Head of the Commercial Section. We are delighted to be preparing together for the European Women's Volleyball Championship in Ghent in August, where the Belgian Yellow Tigers will compete against the Hungarian Volleyball Federation women's team.
Opening ceremony of the Hungarian Public Media Brussels Correspondent Center
On 21st of March, Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács participated at the inauguration ceremony of the Hungarian public media (MTVA) Brussels Correspondent Center. In his speech, the Ambassador stressed that the permanent presence of the public media is highly important in the city that is a political, cultural and a news hub. The European public’s interest towards Hungary, and the Hungarian public‘s interest towards Brussels events will be further enhanced during the approaching Hungarian EU Presidency.

Hungarian Honorary Consul serves as the President of the Federation of Entreprises in Belgium
We are very proud of our Honorary Consul in Wallonia, Mr. René Branders, who now also serves as the President of the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (FEB-VBO), Belgium’s leading employers’ organisation. The inauguration ceremony took place on 30 March and was attended by H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács, Deputy Chief of Mission Ms. Adrienn Kézsmárki and Mr. Ari Epstein, Honorary Consul of Hungary in Flanders.
Drone Forum at the Embassy
On 30 March, a Hungarian-Belgian Drone Forum took place at the Hungarian Embassy in Brussels. The panel discussions focused on R&D cooperation, dual-use/defence industrial drones and agricultural drones. The event was attended by nearly 50 representatives of companies, universities and research institutes. H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács and Head of the Commercial Section, Dorottya Bősze welcomed the participants. The programme was supported by the Department for Cultural and Scientific Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and by Euroatlantic Plc.
