Oath of citizenship
On 17th of March, two of our compatriots have taken the oath of citizenship at the Embassy. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács has underlined that acquiring the citizenship is the legal expression of belonging to the nation, and it is even more eminent being close to 15th of March National Day.
Brussels visit of the Hungarian Deputy State Secretary for the Development of European Relations
Focusing on the Hungarian-Belgian and the Hungarian-Flemish bilateral relations. During her visit in Brussels, Hungarian Deputy State Secretary for the Development of European Relations, Krisztina Varju held talks with the Director for Western and Central Europe of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Danielle Haven and the Secretary General of the Flemish Government’s Chancellery and Foreign Office, Julie Bynens.
Commemoration on the occasion of the 175th Anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution and Freedom Fight of 1848-1849
On the occasion of the 175th Anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution and Freedom Fight of 1848-1849, H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács laid a wreath of remembrance at the grave of Lajos Kossuth's mother, Mrs. Lászlóné Kossuth, in the Saint-Josse-ten Noode cemetery. At the solemn commemoration, we could hear the blessing given by Father István Havas and Kossuth songs performed by musician Tamás Zsári.

Meeting with the EuroAtlantic Zrt. consultancy company
On 3 March 2023, H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács received the Brussel’s Office members of EuroAtlantic Zrt. consultancy company on an introductory meeting at his residence. Dorottya Bősze, Head of Commercial Section and Kincső Dvorácskó, Foreign Economic Assistant were also present during the visit.
