Students from Pomáz (Hungary) in Brussels
On 10 October, H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács received a group of students from the Sándor Sashegyi Primary and Secondary School of Pomáz, who came to Belgium to visit their twin town of Pomáz, Kasterlee.
Reception at the Embassy on the occasion of the anniversary of the 1956 revolution and freedom fight
On the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight, a reception was held for the Hungarian Community living in Belgium. The compatriots of the 1956 Revolution were welcomed by H.E. Mr. Tamás Iván Kovács, Ambassador of Hungary to Belgium and his spouse, Dr. Edit Szepessy, H.E. Mr. Levente Bánfalvi on behalf of H.E. Mr. Bálint Ódor, Permanent Representative to the European Union, H.E. Mr. István Balogh, Permanent Representative on the North Atlantic Council and Mr. Kálló László, Defense, Military and Air Attaché.
Mass and candle march on the occasion of the anniversary of the 1956 revolution and freedom fight
On the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the 1956 revolution and freedom fight, a commemoration mass took place in the Saint Michael and Saint Gudula Cathedral. The Hungarian community living in Belgium marched with candles to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács held a commemorative speech.

Presidency event for EU ambassadors in Herstal
Our Embassy organized its third „Away Day” for EU Heads of Mission at FN Herstal and Thales Belgium in Herstal on 3 October. The aim of the event was both to present the Hungarian EU Presidency's priorities on European strategic autonomy and to introduce two key players in the Belgian and international defence industry to the invited guests.
