Farewell dinner in honour of the Ambassador of Austria
On 15 June, H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács offered a farewell dinner in honour of H.E. Elisabeth Kornfeind, Ambassador of Austria to Belgium and to NATO, with the participation of Mr. Olivier Belle, Head of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium and several ambassadors accredited to Belgium. We wish Ambassador Kornfeind every success in her future endeavours!
Wizzair at the Luxembourg Airport
Hungarian export success in Luxembourg. Thanks to the cooperation with Luxembourg Airport, the Hungarian airline Wizz Air launched its first flight on the Luxembourg-Bucharest route on 14 June. During the official ceremony, the airport’s CEO, Alexander Flassak, WizzAir's Corporate Communication Manager, Tamara Nikiforova and H.E. Ambassador dr. Tamás Iván Kovács welcomed the first passengers. Two more flights to Rome and Skopje will be launched in the near future.
Brussels Hungarian Business Club at the Embassy
On 7 June 2023, the Hungarian Business Club Meeting in Brussels took place at the Hungarian Embassy in Brussels, jointly organised by the Foreign Economic Office of the Embassy and the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The topic of this year's event was EU businesses in third markets and the opportunities of free trade agreements for Hungary.
Farewell reception in honour of the Head of the Luxembourg Office
On 5 June, our Embassy held a farewell event in honour of the Head of our Luxembourg Office, Chargé d'affaires Ms. Andrea Hanzséros with the participation of Mr. Olivier Baldauff, Director of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, Mr. Jean-Louis Thill, Director for European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg and several ambassadors accredited to the Grand Duchy. During the event, the successor of Ms. Hanzséros, Mr. Szabolcs Nemes was also introduced to our guests. The diplomatic rotation will take place at the end of August, signifying an important milestone in the life of our Luxembourg representation, marking also its resounding success during the last four years, to be continued with the diplomatic centennial between Hungary and Luxembourg and the upcoming 2023-24 Spanish-Belgian-Hungarian Trio
