Hungarian Drone Coalition's trade negotiations with the Belgian partners
On 16 January 2023, dr. Dániel Rohács, President of the Hungarian Drone Coalition and Tamás Zsolnay, Senior External Relations Manager of HungaroControl held bilateral meetings with their Belgian and European partners at the Hungarian Embassy in Brussels. During the meetings, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Belgian Cap Innove and ID2Move incubators. Dorottya Bősze, Commercial and Trade Attaché and Kincső Dvorácskó, Commercial and Trade Assistant participated in the programme.
New Year's reception of the European Corporate Security Association’s
On 9th January H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács attended the European Corporate Security Association’s New Year's Reception in the company of Admiral Michel Hofman, Belgian Chief of Defence, Mr. Marc De Mesmaeker, General Commissioner of the Belgian Federal Police and Mr. William De Baets, Deputy Chief of Staff and Diplomatic Advisor to H.M. King Philippe of Belgium.
Talks with the Honorary Consul of Hungary in Flanders
On 5 January, H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács met with Mr. Ari Epstein, Honorary Consul of Hungary in Flanders and CEO of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre. The topics reviewed included the rapidly developing Flemish-Hungarian relations, the economy of the region, the city of Antwerp and the Port of Antwerp-Bruges.
Ambassador attended the Requiem Mass for late Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI at Brussels’ Cathedral
On 6 January, H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács attended the Requiem Mass for late Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI at Brussels’ Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula offered by H.Em. Cardinal Jozef De Kesel, Metropolitan Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels, and H.E. Archbishop Franco Coppola, the Apostolic Nuncio.
Meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of KBC Group
On 19 December, H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács had a meeting with Mr. Koenraad Debackere, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KBC Group. They discussed the success of Hungary’s K&H Bank, owned by KBC, the amazing work of the Alamire Foundation in Leuven and the Hungarian connections at KU Leuven.
