Ambassador's visit at the editorial bureau of La Libre Belgique
On 1st of March, Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács visited the editorial bureau of one of Belgium’s pre-eminent francophone newspapers, La Libre Belgique. He met Editor in Chief Dorian de Meeûs, as well as two journalists, Maria Udrescu and Olivier le Bussy.
Reception at the Hungarian House in Brussels on the occasion of the closing of the centennial year of the Belgian-Hungarian diplomatic relations
On the occasion of the closing ceremony of the centennial year of the Belgian-Hungarian diplomatic relations, a reception was held at the Hungarian House in Brussels in the presence of the three Hungarian HoM Ambassadors (bilateral, EU & NATO) accredited to Brussels.
A wreath of remembrance on the building of the first Hungarian diplomatic mission in Brussels
On the occasion of the closing ceremony of the centennial year of the Belgian-Hungarian diplomatic relations, a wreath of remembrance was laid at the memorial plaque located on the building of the first Hungarian diplomatic mission in Brussels by H.E. Mr. Tamás Iván Kovács, Ambassador of Hungary to Belgium, H.E. Mr. Bálint Ódor, Hungary’s Permanent Representative to the European Union, H.E. Mr. István Balogh, Permanent Representative of Hungary on the North Atlantic Council and Colonel Gábor Erbán, Defense, Military and Air Attaché along with H.E. Danielle Haven, Director of Belgium’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Participation at the event of the Embassy of Ukraine on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of the war
On 15 February, at the invitation of Ms. Nataliia Anoshyna, Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine in Belgium, Deputy Chief of Mission Adrienn Kézsmárki attended the opening of the photo exhibition “The Year of Resilience” that marks the one-year anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine.
Meeting with the Deputy Director for Europe of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affaires of Luxembourg
On 13 February, H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács had a meeting with Mr. Orlando Pinto, Deputy Director for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg. They had a great exchange of views on current EU and bilateral dossiers, focusing mainly on the upcoming Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU and the diplomatic centennial of Hungary and Luxembourg, both due in 2024.
