Memorial Day of the Hungarian Victims of the Holocaust

On the occasion of the Memorial Day of the Hungarian Victims of the Holocaust, the Embassy of Hungary organized a commemoration in the Liszt Institute Brussels, where H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács delivered the keynote speech. Baroness Regina Sluszny Holocaust survivor who was a hidden child, shared her memories and the exhibition titled “Escaping Ukraine: Am I My Brother's Keeper?”was opened as well.

25 years ago Hungary became a full-fledged member of NATO

It was 25 years ago, on 12 March 1999 that Hungary became a full-fledged member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). Four days later, on 16 March 1999, the national flag of Hungary was raised at NATO Headquarters in Brussels. Hungary has ever since been an active and dedicated member of the Alliance, and has been striving for the safeguarding and strengthening international peace and stability together with its 31 allies.

Meeting with the Defence Minister of Luxembourg

On 22 February, H.E. Tamás Iván Kovács attended the GOVSATCOM 2024 International Space Conference in Luxembourg. During the event he met Yuriko Backes, Luxembourg Defence Minister, and they discussed the approaching Hungarian EU Presidency and the diplomatic centennial between Hungary and Luxembourg, both due in 2024.

On 29 January, representatives of the Belgian multinational logistics company Katoen Natie received H.E. Ambassador dr. Tamás Iván Kovács at the company's logistics headquarters in Antwerp.
