As part of the tour of the Belgian provinces, in preparation for the crucial 2024 Belgian-Hungarian EU Presidency year, on 17 November, H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács had meeting in Namur with the Governor of Namur, Denis Mathen.

On the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight, a reception was held for the Hungarian community living in Belgium. The compatriots of the 1956 Revolution were welcomed by H.E. Mr. Tamás Iván Kovács, Ambassador of Hungary to Belgium and his spouse, Dr. Edit Szepessy, H.E. Ms. Katalin Molnár on behalf of H.E. Mr. Bálint Ódor, Permanent Representative to the European Union, H.E. Mr. István Balogh, Permanent Representative on the North Atlantic Council and Mr. Kálló László, Defense, Military and Air Attaché.
On the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight, a commemoration mass took place in the Saint Michael and Saint Gudula Cathedral. The Hungarian community living in Belgium marched with candles to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács held a commemorative speech.
Ms. Gabriella Nagy, Hungarian community diplomat attended the commemoration and the wreath-laying ceremony organized by the Hungarian House in Brussels on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight.

On 9 October, H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács and Dorottya Bősze Head of the Commercial Section visited Busworld Europe in Brussels, the world's largest B2B exhibition dedicated exclusively to buses and coaches. We were delighted to visit the Hungarian exhibitors Ikarus, König Kft. and Prettl Electronics Hungary Kft. Also thanks to the Chinese Yutong Bus & Coach company for the invitation and for presenting their latest products.
The BENELUX Cybersecurity Roadshow took place between 26-28 September, during which the Hungarian participants were able to gain insight into the specifics of the Belgian and Luxembourg cyber defence sector. The Economic and Trade Office of the Embassy of Hungary provided an opportunity for Hungarian and Belgian partners to discover synergies and develop cooperation through a Tour de Table session.
