25 years ago Hungary became a full-fledged member of NATO

It was 25 years ago, on 12 March 1999 that Hungary became a full-fledged member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). Four days later, on 16 March 1999, the national flag of Hungary was raised at NATO Headquarters in Brussels. Hungary has ever since been an active and dedicated member of the Alliance, and has been striving for the safeguarding and strengthening international peace and stability together with its 31 allies.

Exhibition of the Jewish refugees from Ukraine

On behalf of the Embassy of Hungary in Brussels, Ms. Gabriella Nagy diplomat and Ms. Zsófia Kovács, director of the Hungarian Cultural Institute participated at the exposure of the exhibition of the Jewish refugees from Ukraine in the building of The European Commission.

Meeting with the Defence Minister of Luxembourg

On 22 February, H.E. Tamás Iván Kovács attended the GOVSATCOM 2024 International Space Conference in Luxembourg. During the event he met Yuriko Backes, Luxembourg Defence Minister, and they discussed the approaching Hungarian EU Presidency and the diplomatic centennial between Hungary and Luxembourg, both due in 2024.

As part of the tour of the Belgian provinces and provincial capitals, in preparation for the Hungarian EU Presidency in the second half of 2024, on 19 February, H.E. Jan Spooren, Governor of Flemish Brabant Province, received H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács.

Visit at Katoen Natie logistics company

On 29 January, representatives of the Belgian multinational logistics company Katoen Natie received H.E. Ambassador dr. Tamás Iván Kovács at the company's logistics headquarters in Antwerp. The meeting was attended by Ms Dorottya Bősze, Head of the Commercial Section and Mr Ari Epstein, Honorary Consul of Hungary in Flanders.

Hungarian Day in Heffingen, Luxembourg
