V4 ambassadors' visit in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg

In the framework of the Hungarian V4 presidency, the V4 ambassadors accredited to Luxembourg visited Esch-sur-Alzette, tge second largest city of the country, where the delegation was received by representatives of Mayor Georges Mischo. The special occasion of the visit was stemming from the fact that in 2022 Esch is one of the Cultural Capitals of Europe and in 2023 a Hungarian city, Veszprém will take over this role.

Conference in the Egmont Institute - V4 and Benelux mini-lateralism

In the framework of the Hungarian V4 Presidency, a scientific conference was held about the two mini-lateral formats - the Visegrád Four Cooperation and the Benelux Union - at the prestigious Egmont Palace. After the opening speech of Mr. François Roux, senior advisor of Egmont Institute and Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács, the panelists focused on why these two formats are successful, what are the possible challenges they must face in the new European power balance, and how the members of these groups can enhance cooperation with other Member States.

Commemoration of the Genocide committed by the Nazi Germany

H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács represented Hungary at the annual commemoration organized by the FORUM of Jewish Organizations (Joodse Forum) in Antwerp on the occasion of “Commemoration of the Genocide committed by Nazi Germany” in the company of Minister of Interior Annelies Verlinden and Mayor Bart De Wever. Candles were lit and wreaths laid during the ceremony at the monument erected by the FORUM on the corner of Belgiëlei and Mercatorstraat.
