On 29 and 30 April, H.E. János Bóka, Hungarian Minister for EU Affairs represented Hungary at the informal meeting of the General Affairs Council in Brussels. The meeting was held against the background of the 20th anniversary of the 2004 enlargement. On 1 May 2004, 10 new Member States, including Hungary, joined the European Union. To mark this significant event, a celebration took place in the Bozar Centre for Fine Arts on the evening of 29 April. H.E. Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács, as member of the Hungarian delegation representing the incoming EU Presidency, also attended the events.
