A delegation of 30 Hungarian port representatives, transport companies and logistic experts visited Belgium between 7 and 8 November 2016. The purpose of the two days visit was to map possibilities for cooperation between Hungarian and Belgian ports, transport companies and logistics operators.
The Flanders Vaccine, the Flanders Investment and Trade, the FlandersBio and Provaxs, in cooperation with the Visegrad Embassies in Brussels organised the Immunity for Health two-day conference on October 20th-21st 2016 in Ghent.
Hungary participated for the first time with a country booth between 13 and 15 March 2016 at TAVOLA which is the most important international food fair in Belgium held in Kortrijk every two years.
A business delegation of 16 Hungarian ICT companies led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade László Szabó visited Brussels on 10 December 2015. On the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of 1956 Hungarian Revolution and Freedom Fight, the Embassy of Hungary in Belgium and KU Leuven organized a conference on the Hungarian Revolution and Freedom Fight of 1956 on the 14th of November 2016, in the College De Valk of KU Leuven.
The Festival of Freedom 1956-2016, a two-day commemoration event dedicated to the memory of the Hungarian Revolution and Freedom Fight in 1956 started on October 22th afternoon in the Cinquantenaire Park in Brussels with the opening speeches of Hungarian Ambassadors.The Festival was jointly organised by the Embassy of Hungary in Brussels, the Permanent Representation of Hungary to the EU and the Permanent Representation of Hungary to NATO.
The Hungarian community in Belgium held a holy mass in Brussels at the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula in memory of the Hungarian Revolution and Freedom Fight of 1956.
