Yesterday evening the Cultural Service of our Embassy, the Hungarian Cultural Institute hosted a wonderful concert and a captivating exhibition opening marking the handover of the V4 Presidencies. Ambassador Támas Iván Kovács took over the Brussels Presidency of the group. During the opening event of the Hungarian Presidency (July 2021-June 2022) of the Visegrad Group, a fantastic concert by Joanna Staruch-Smolec on violin, Aleksandra Lelek on cello and Alexandros Sarakenidis on the piano, the guests enjoyed a repertoire from composers from the V4 region: Liszt, Różycki and Dvořák. The “Visegrád Portraits” Exhibition by the Hungarian graphic artist, Tibor Gaál presents notable figures of the Visegrád region’s past, offering glimpses of outstanding individual achievements in the fields of history, literature, art, science & sports. The exhibition is open for visitors till 27 August.
